brushed gradient transmission tutorial

font for my name is King Arthur
a few brushes-i used some wordart brushes
you can use any brushes you would like
this is your creation, be creative
ok lets go
1. open a new image 600 x 250
2. pick a light and darker color from your tube and make a gradient
3. flood fill your image with that gradient, vm extravaganza- transmission (default)
4. c&p your tube and place on left side, duplicate, image mirror
5. merge down, DS 2 -2 50 7 in your palette set this layer to luminance legacy, opacity 85
6. take your selection tool, draw out a rectangle ,(see my tag for reference)
7. new raster layer flood fill with your gradient, with it still selected, new raster layer,selections
modify, select selection borders. check outside, both sides and set border at 3
8. new raster layer, flood fill with your lighter color, adjust add remove noise uniform and monochrome checked, 35% add inner bevel (bevel 2 width 12 everything else at default)
9. select none, now we are going to add our brushes. new raster layer, paint brush tool and add whatever brushes you want to. i used text brushes but this is up to you
10.after you add your brushes, add DS, then merge down
11.now you can add your close up tube and place in the center. i resized mine a little (70%)
12.when youre happy with it, then add DS.
13.make sure you are on your top layer, new raster layer,select all, flood fill with your light color, select all selections modify, contract by 4, hit delete on keyboard
14.add noise and inner bevel with same settings as before
15.select none. merge all flatten, add your copyrights and tag line, save as jpg.
